Special Education
My name is Miss Anna Geary and I am the Special Education and Learning Support teacher at Casuarina Street Primary School. My role is to support students with additional needs so that all students can strive to reach their full potential.
The best way to support students is a collaborative approach between all staff, parents and the student. Therefore we work together to develop an individualized plan and strategies for the student that best meets their needs.
We have a broad range of tutors who work within the classroom to support students under the direction of myself and the classroom teachers.
Identified students are also supported with small group or individualized programs. These include speech programs, literacy and numeracy support, social, emotional and life skills programs.
